Hello Everyone! Spring has sprung at the farm, the seeding push has begun and I'm starting to dance around with excitement! This week we started the brassicas (kale, collards, cabbage, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower), head lettuce, chard, parsley and lots of basil. Mmm mmm mmm, I can smell the dreamy basil harvests now.
The greenhouse that we seeded in early roots, greens and alliums is looking great. The onion and leeks are starting to bulk up, come on guys! Hopefully they'll be ready to transplant in month or so... the spicy greens mix will be ready to start harvesting in no time and the roots are looking good.
The tomatoes and peppers are growing FAST and will be getting repotted tomorrow so they have room to grow before their big move to the greenhouse in May! The last couple days have been stormy, with a lot of wind and snowflakes falling but it cleared out last night and is frosty, sunny and calm at the moment. It looks like sunshine for days and a warm up is coming this week, so we're planning to seed greens outside and finish building the greenhouse. Wahoo!
